All our gangways are made to order for the customer in every case. And in doing so we take on any challenge. With the project for Gardec for instance we were able to capitalise on our strength: custom-made products in aluminium.
Commissioned by Gardec, we designed, manufactured and delivered a gangway 15 metres long and 0.8 metres wide to Zeebrugge. This heavy-duty gangway was specially built to facilitate the transfer from the new dry dock to the quayside.
Given the limited movement range of the dry dock, we fitted the gangway with a bogie (wheel set) to accommodate these movements.
Besides the heavy-duty gangway, Blommaert also offers other models of gangways such as the easily manoeuvrable lightweight version.
If requested, our gangways and accommodation ladders will be fabricated with certificated welding and approved by Bureau Veritas, an accredited certification agency. Bureau Veritas.
